PLACES TO EXPLORE IN MANALI:
1.Hadimba or Dhungiri temple: The fourstory wooden temple is located in the middle of the forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar. Winding paths through forests and glades of whispering Deodars form the setting for the majestic wooden temple of Hadimba Devi in Manali
2.Rohtang Pass: Situated about 50 km from Manali town, at an altitude of 4,111m on the highway to keylong,is the Rohtang Pass. There is the beautiful Dasohar Lake left of the the Pass. This pass is a gateway to Lahul Spiti,Pangi and leh.
3.Vashist temple: Vashista, a small village located on the left bank of river beas towards Rohtang pass is worth a visit. It is far-famed for its hot springs and temples.
4.Adventure Sports in Manali: The river Beas is suitable for white water rafting ,canoeing and kayaking. Patalsu and Rohtang slopes ar the sole places wherever one will do summer athletics. The slopes of solang Valley are ideal for paragliding during summers.
5.Lahul and Spiti (80km/6hrs from Manali): The two rivers,Chandra and bhaga which rise on either side of the Baralacha La,flow through the narrow and deep valleys here. Keylong is that the district Headquarters of Lahaul & spiti on the most road to leh. It is an oasis of green fields and willow trees .Also visit Triliknath Temple and Jispa Valley.
